There have been some changes of personnel on our Board of Trustees over the last few months. David Salisbury, who has been with us since the very start and Kay Ross have stepped down, all of us involved in The Woodworks Project would like to offer them both our sincerest thanks for all their hard work during their time with us.
We have however welcomed three new trustees to the board. Laura McMurtrie, Sami Cheung and Justin Wride have joined our team and and the vast and varied experience they bring to our organisation is already having a very positive impact, so welcome and thank you Laura, Sami and Justin.
We also have a new member of staff to welcome aboard. Carla McConnell has just been appointed as our new Upholstery Tutor and will be starting soon. We are sure Carla will be a fantastic addition to our charity and look forward to working with her.
Carla's appointment has been something of a relief as following the resignation of our previous tutor due to other commitments, our upholstery project and public upholstery courses have been on hold for sometime, so her appointment allows us to get on with what we d best; helping disadvantaged people in our area improve their lives!
