Woodwork For Wellbeing

What is a Climbing Bear?

A wooden bear who climbs up a piece of string from the bottom all the way to the top of a doorway.

See our wooden climbing bear, designed by our woodworking tutor, Ben, in action here!

Our climbing bear decoration is the perfect introduction to woodworking. Wood is a tactile material, and learning to manipulate and shape a piece of wood is a great way to switch off from the day-to-day and re-focus on yourself!

Underpinned by the 5 Ways of Wellbeing, during this course you will learn new skills, share your learning with other workshop students, gain a sense of achievement, notice the nuances of different wood grains and keep active!
